Barsha Tamang, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 

“I have always valued people being there for me. Lokopakar is such a platform where each individual is valued, at the same time they grow and support each other”.

Recipient of the Prestigious “Princess Helen Shah Inspirational Woman of the Year Award 2022”, Barsha has been working with youths for the last 8 years. She strongly believes in creating an inclusive social support system to help each other grow. 

From personal experience she realized the need and initiated creating a safe space for girls to share their stories and learn from each other, in turn building Strength TogetHER and Lokopakar, a strong social support system for girls. She has then expanded the programs and continuously worked to create a social support system. 

Barsha completed her Bachelor Degree in Sociology and Rural Development from Thames International College, and is pursuing her Master Degree in Sociology from Padma Kanya Multiple Campus. She was part of the Women’s Leadership Mentoring program by the UK Embassy under Mission Director of USAID Nepal Cohort 2022. She is also an alumni of Aspire Leadership Program 2022. 

Barsha loves hiking and trekking. She likes meeting new people and dogs. She enjoys nature and loves taking pictures of it.   

Prastuti Bhattarai, Chief Operating Officer(COO)

“We usually tend to bottle up our feelings and emotions, keep it within ourselves because of the fear of getting judged. Through Lokopakar we encourage expressing your feelings and learning without being judgemental.”

Prastuti is also the recipient of the prestigious, “Princess Helen Shah Woman of the Year Award 2022”. She has been working with youth since her high school days. She is an amazing emcee and with her confidence and public speaking skills she has been training students for the same. 

She believes in taking small steps for a bigger impact.

She graduated from Thames International College with a Bachelor in Business Administration with flying colors. She was awarded the Leadership Award and acted as Senior Advisor and Treasurer of the Student Council of Thames International College. She also got selected for a one-year long intensive Leadership course in Women LEAD Nepal.

Prastuti loves traveling and trying new cuisine. Emceeing and stage is where she shines the most. She is very much interested in current affairs and history.

Anisha Prajapati, Chief Relation Officer(CRO)

Anisha, an Aspire Leaders Program Alumni 22’ started working with young students and youths from 2015. She started with designing and facilitating programs. She has always been a firm believer of providing opportunities and growth through collaboration. 

She completed her Bachelors from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) in Travel and Tourism. She was actively involved in conducting various programs in her college. With her experience in conducting Team Building activities she has been designing programs and facilitating the same. She is also a part of the Women in Leadership (WiL) by Ujyalo Foundation. 

Anisha is an avid reader and a trained belay guide. She loves to sew and is passionate to write and share her experience.
