Lokopakar X Worldlink (Mugu and Jaleswor)

By aligning Lokopakar’s mission with WorldLink’s commitment to digital inclusion, this collaboration promoted equitable access to education and empower first-generation students/learners in Mugu. 

Our first pilot project ran at Shree Pangeli Devi Secondary School, Kalikot in collaboration with Worldlink CSR where Breaking the English Language Barrier session showed that students not only improved their English language skills but also became more confident learners. The classroom transformed into a space where students actively participated, supported one another, and enjoyed using English in meaningful ways.

At Lokopakar, we believe learning English is not just about vocabulary and grammar. It is about building confidence, communication, and opportunities. Over the course of 45 interactive English language sessions, we worked with 25 Grade 6 students, using storytelling, games, songs, peer learning, and activity-based teaching to strengthen their language skills in a safe and encouraging classroom environment. By comparing students’ abilities before and after the program, we observed remarkable progress across every language skill. This progress reflects Lokopakar’s commitment to creating engaging, learner-centered education that builds confidence alongside academic skills.

Together, we achieved a 73% improvement in students’ learning outcomes. Our heartfelt thanks to WorldLink for trusting our vision and helping us reach these young learners.

Growing Our Impact

Following the success of our pilot BELB Program, we are excited to expand our work to Shree Suka Dev Secondary School in Jaleswor.

We are currently delivering a three-month English language program for 25 students, continuing our learner-centered approach that emphasizes confidence, communication, and practical language skills through interactive and engaging activities.

We along with Worldlink CSR Team remains committed to creating meaningful learning opportunities for children who deserve access to quality education. We look forward to witnessing the growth, confidence, and achievements of these students in the months ahead.
